1. Information We Collect

We collect two categories of information when you use TryMyPdf:

a) Automatically Collected Data (Log Data)

When you visit TryMyPdf, our servers automatically record standard log data. This may include your device's Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit, the time spent on each page, referring URLs, and other diagnostic data. This information is used solely to operate and improve the service and is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

b) Uploaded Files

When you use our PDF tools, you upload files to our servers for processing. These files are used exclusively to perform the operation you requested (merge, compress, split, etc.). We do not read, analyse, index, or store the content of your documents beyond what is technically necessary to process your request. All uploaded files and processed outputs are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 1 hour of processing.

2. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. TryMyPdf uses cookies for the following purposes:

• Functional cookies — Required to operate core features of the website. These cannot be disabled without affecting site functionality.
• Analytics cookies — We use anonymous analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, session duration, device type). No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
• Advertising cookies — Third-party advertising partners, including Google, may set cookies on your device to serve personalised advertisements. See Section 4 for full details.

We retain different types of data for different periods:

• Uploaded files and processed outputs — Automatically deleted within 1 hour of processing. No backups are made.
• Server log data — Retained for up to 30 days for security monitoring and performance analysis, then automatically deleted.
• Analytics data — Retained in anonymised, aggregated form for up to 26 months.

8. Children's Privacy

TryMyPdf does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Our services are not directed to children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@trymypdf.com and we will take steps to remove that information from our systems.

9. Security

The security of your data is important to us. All data transfers between your device and our servers are encrypted using HTTPS (TLS). Uploaded files are stored temporarily in isolated, access-controlled server environments and are not accessible to unauthorised parties. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

TryMyPdf may contain links to external websites that are not operated by us. If you click a third-party link, you will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. Your continued use of TryMyPdf after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
